MAIDENS IN THE MORNING
Watauga Lake Winery - Butler, Tennessee
The development of this shoot began when my sweet friend, Heather and I took a day trip to visit the beautiful winery and vineyards of Watauga Lake. We laid eyes on the mountain-top escape inspired by true Tuscan architecture, and the dreaming began. We envisioned how beautiful a setting it was for a bride to gather with her bridesmaids and begin the wedding day in quiet thoughts and gentle flutters of comfy robes. There can be so much stress throughout the wedding planning process, we wanted to inspire brides to plan the much-needed hushed moments as well. For the shoot I gathered seasonal flowers of poppies, peegee hydrangea and purple oregano from the surrounding area with beautiful farm-direct garden roses added to the mix. The light splashing across the mountainside made for the perfect finishing touch.
