Raffaldini Vineyards
Ronda, North Carolina
After collaborating for my own wedding as a bride and photographer,
Ozzy and I re-connected once again in beautiful North Carolina
to collaborate, but this time as stylist and photographer.
Landing on the location of Raffaldini Vineyards, set at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains,
the Tuscan-inspired vineyard soon became the backbone for the direction of the shoot.
The landscape and textures that Raffaldini offers are so rich with Italian inspiration. From the
quaint stone statues found throughout the garden pathways, to the trees that seem to
drip with leaves rather than grow them, to the rich clay patina of the stone work - I just knew
this was the perfect palette to create upon.
Purposely evading the cool tone trend (gray, blue, pink, peach) I wanted to work with
some of the more unemployed color palettes, such as rust, orange, and forest green.
All colors have a romantic side and I wanted to explore some new and lovely possibilities.
Landing on a color palette filled to the brim with rich terra cottas and vineyard-rich greens,
the tone of the shoot mirrored the Raffaldini setting perfectly.
The stunning Jenny Packham gown, Esme, generously provided by Kate of Tre Bella Bridal,
was the perfect choice to romance the vines. The Roman-esque design of
the gown reflected well on the European setting.
